Is what I used to say to guys and gals (believe me there are quite a few gals I know that play the series) that were pokemon addicts. Now, this was just all for fun (namely, to get a rise out of those jive turkey humanoids). But deep down, way down in the centre of my heart...beat a pokemon fan.
When the Big P came around I was j-u-s-t starting high school. Too be honest, I fell in love with it. None of my friends that I knew talked about it (but I knew they did play the games, watch the show, and movie!). I bought the first game (Pokemon Red humanoids) with my twin brother Retro Matt and my Dad at our local Wal-Mart.
We went back to our little country home, while I played PR all night on our Super Gameboy on the SNES. Retro Matt never got a chance to play. He was just a spectator (which I feel sorry for. Oddly enough he never asked for his own copy).
Many weekends spent playing this with Dad and Retro Matt
So lo and behold, I beat the game, trade a few poke's with my buddy Brandon (who had everything in the gaming world). And that was about it. I'm almost in my 30's now...and I have the itch again. To be the best. Cause' no one ever was...(did I mention that I watched the 1st season religiously? ha ha ha!)
One of my personal favourites, Wartortle!
In any event I never played any of the other games past 1st gen. That is until today...feast your eyes on my evolution into the next (past) generation! Pokemon Sapphire!
And so begins my next chapter in the pokemon legacy. I really can't wait to get into this game either. From what I've read online and asked from my friends this series is one of the best. Wish me luck people! Gotta' catch them all, Pokemon!
In the meantime, in between time!
