PASSING GRADE!

Data East serves us a fine run and gun military game. While the music and graphics are nothing to write home about, that's not to say they're bad. Just serviceable. 

For those that don't know you play as one of two soldiers out to stop...uh, well, I don't know much of the story to be brutally honest. But I don't think that really matters. You got a small arsenal of rifles, two types of grenades, shotgun shot, flamethrower among others. 

Its one of those nice 2 player simultaneous games that the NES doesn't have enough of. I highly recommend the game. The controls are really good and responsive. And the fact that by snagging keys you can unlock chests for further weapons is really cool. And there's a lot of chests scattered about, and not enough keys.

You even get that early NES voice synthesizer. Although it leaves a lot to the imagination. Instead of "Heavy Barrel!" you get "Heav-e-barl!". All in all though, a very fun game! Check this one out.
