Games Thrashed: 2025 EDITION

Last year was a heck of a year! You could say it was the year of JRPG's for me! For some odd reason, the beginning of last year was all about beating japanese role playing games! I was on a mission to finish a lot of them, specifically Final Fantasy games! But without further ado, here is my pick for RETRO GAME OF THE YEAR I finished in 2024.....

Yes I FINALLY beat the original Final Fantasy 7 on PS1 (via my PS4). It is probably one of my top 5 favorite JRPGs of all time. Really, top 3 lol! I had so much fun with this game and lots of nostalgia too seeing my friend Brandom Emms play it. All in all it was a fantastic time! On to the new year!

JANUARY:

Wario Ware: Get it Together! (Switch) A VERY addictive and cute game. Would be even better with multiplayer for sure. But I really LOVED the retro theme games. I'm a sucker for it!

Wizardry I (NES) Talk about one of the seemingly hardest NES RPG's! But really, I finished it mainly playing as an elf mage solo. Until the last dungeon floor. Then I needed a little cleric healing power to get me to the final boss fight against Werdna the Wizard! Lots of fun if very old school!

Wizardry II (NES) Pretty much just like the first game, and still lots of fun! Brought back Merlin the magic user and class changed him into a fighter to wear all the Knight of Diamonds armor, Malor teleport spell to the end for the win! Great game!

FEBRUARY:

Bard's Tale (NES) Not nearly as good and fast as the Wizardry games but it was still a lot of fun to play!
